Normally I'm not very into the Oscars. I usually forget what night they are on but this year I wanted to watch them since I had seen many of the movies and loved them. While I was unable to watch the Oscars live I did watch the recording on Hulu (thanks hulu for posting them for me). It's been no secret that I love Les Miserables! <3 I was very happy with the movie and the portrayal of all of the characters. I was moved when they had the entire cast come out on the Oscar stage to sing Do You Hear the People Sing with Anne Hathaway singing I Dreamed a Dream to it as well. Very nicely done. You deserved all 8 Oscar Nominations and the win for best Hair and Makeup and Best Supporting Actress.
The next great love I have is the Civil War so a movie produced by Steven Spielburg called Lincoln was sure to be a win for me. It did not disappoint me and I loved the movie. Daniel Day Lewis did a phenominal job as Lincoln. Sally Field has always been a great actress and she was amazing as Mary Todd Lincoln.
Silver Linings Playbook was a great story with Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence whom I am loving more and more in every movie she is in. I was so happy she won an Oscar for best Actress for that role. She really did amazing. And kudos to Hugh Jackman for rushing to her side to help her up after she tripped on her dress up the stairs. You are a classy guy.
Next year I want to have an Oscar viewing party where all the guests dress up for the red carpet. That would be so much fun. I hope we have antother great year of movies.
