Let the Magic Begin! Disney Arrival Day.

Ever since I was little I have always wanted to go to Disney World and see Cinderella's Palace. I fantasized about this palace for so long. I would dream that I would find my prince there, or maybe he would ask me to be his princess, or going for a honeymoon. Such high hopes and dreams awaited me there. In college I really wanted to go and work there but found that it just wasn't going to work out. So when an opportunity arrived to me to go to Disney World for a week with my friend Jessica I couldn't pass it up, prince or no prince with me. I would find one there if I had to. I felt like a kid again being swept away into a place where dreams can and do come true.

From the minute I got off the plane in Orlando I knew I had been transported to a world where fantasy and reality unite. We boarded our Mickey Transport bus that was going to take us right to our Disney All Star Movie Resort. They showed a video on the way there highlighting all the attractions of things you can see and do while you are there. The anticipation and excitement was overwhelming me.

Once we arrived at our resort they gave me a special button that said First Visit to wear which came in very handy during the week. Our room was located in the Mighty Duck section of the resort. The balconies were covered with hockey sticks and pucks. The center staircase was a Mighty Duck mask, the side stairs were goal posts. In the front was a pool that looked like an ice rink with a Goofy Goalie image, locker rooms and a scoreboard to tell you the time. So fun!

Inside the room they had arranged the towels to look like Mickey on the beds. I really felt like my enjoyment and relaxing needs were met here.

We were so excited to have arrived that we wanted to see what the rest of the resort looked like. There was a section for the 101 Dalmations with over 3 story figures of Pongo and Purdy along with a really cute 10 foot tv with one of the dogs pretending to watch it. Remember that in the movie?

Then there was a Toy Story section where all of our favorite toys from the movie were. Woody, Buzz, Bo, Rex, Slinky, Ham, the car and even the toy soldiers to guard the place.

The center of the resort was a Fantasia theme with Mickey dressed as the sorcerers apprentice in the middle of the pool. Let the magic begin he seemed to be saying. Just walking around the resort got me so excited I didn't think I could be any happier. But this was just the begining of a dream come true adventure.
